Call for Student Video Contest Entries
School districts are encouraged to showcase their students’ creativity and share why their school rocks in TASB’s Student
Video Contest. First- and second-place prizes of $5,000 and
$2,500, respectively, will be awarded in three categories: elementary, middle, and high school. Prizes will be awarded to the
school district to be used in the students’ classroom or campus.
Videos should be original works between 30 seconds and
two minutes in length using the theme Texas Public Schools
Rock! In the video, students should focus on what makes their
school exceptional, why they love their school, how their school
has earned the support of the community, why Texans should
stand up for public schools, and what makes Texas public
schools the best choice.
There is no entry fee for the contest; however, only one
entry per campus is allowed. Entries will be accepted beginning
November 1; deadline to
enter is January 13, 2017.
Winners will be announced
in spring 2017.
